License Server discontinuation
Since the release of IDE Services Cloud on October 25, License Vault is the default solution for managing JetBrains licenses. The legacy License Server will be discontinued and taken out of service on December 31, 2025.
After this date, all License Server instances will stop distributing licenses. Any users in your organization still connected to your License Server will lose access to their JetBrains licenses.
What you need to do
You'll need to switch to a new license management method by December 31, 2025. There are two options, depending on what works best for you.
Option 1. Switch to IDE Services
If you’d like to manage licenses automatically and keep using floating licensing, we suggest moving to License Vault, available as part of JetBrains IDE Services.

Migrate to IDE Services
Once your IDE Services instance is up and running, you can migrate your existing users and licenses to it. Check our migration guides for instructions:
Option 2. Manage licenses through JetBrains Account
Alternatively, you can manage your licenses manually through JetBrains Account. This option works if you don’t need floating or postpaid licensing and are okay with manually tracking which licenses need to be revoked and reassigned.
